In the world we live in, society through religion and media and sensationalism has successfully got hooked on all of their bullshit, everyone addicted to either media, drugs, garbage food, etc. And we've evolved to be able to find that acceptable. the only way to live free of all of it is to withdraw from society and live out in private somewhere in a small community, so being hooked on something enough to be numb is the only way to get through life in modern day society unless youre well off as fuck.

In jail once, a guy in my cell went into the courtroom for his bond trial. He told us to pray for jesus get him outa this one, and I said simething about animism/buddhism/everythingismakebeleivology/etc and at first they thought it was really cool. then i said "yeah, 'Something about the dalai lama saying meditation and practice beng able to make permanent change over the course of 5-10 years'", and the guy goes, "yeah, TEN YEARS! A nigga be hustling niggas dont be out here havin 10 years sittin around! FR tho, Id appreciate it if yall niggas make sure jesus' hears i needa get tf outa this bitch TODAY!" :feelslol:

this post doesnt have much point other than writing down somewhere that all of societies insane and theres not much anyone can do about it except find what insanity appeals to you to keep your hamster wheel rolling an hope a next generation gets a better chance at being healthy if you want; riches, drugs, gambling, alcohol, junk food, hardcore porn, sex, video games or whatever else that keeps you going, go for that and dont feel any guilt over it. Healthy habits can coexist for sure, but its ingrained in people at this point to need their quick fixes too

When I tried to live without any unhealthy habits it turned out that'd be the same as literally ending my life, I sat around thinking i might as well be dead for months and found no reason to go outside :feelsjuice:

i used to not think much about this, but after starting to diet not eating alot of carbs im alot more concentrated, smart, quick, dedicated and just in general a much more efficient person. makes you think why society has been telling you to eat carbs and to eat carbs.

soon you won't be able to drive a car in my country, due to "climate change" , you will be living in a small pod eating bugs and pills.

yea I fixed my diet and realized alot just coming froma pretty normal american diet theyll keep you hooked on just about anything to make an extra buck

fr i found certain drug use to be far less harmful on my body and mood day to day than eating shit food even though ofc neither are optimal. whats happening with how its looking for the future seems like making the whole future suck for everyone bc theres too many ppl and none of them care to find any real answer for any of the problems plagueing the earth

You're accurate. Humanity has usually traded worries for other concerns, humanity as a whole is caught on a hedonistic treadmill due to our most exceptional capability - adaptation.
But you presently need to reflect some consideration on this: it has usually been that manner. The outlook at the destiny of humanity has usually been "bleak", yet humanity prevails. Things will exchange, some for the worse, some for higher, but humanity has always adapted and survived. I don't see any motive why it'd be exclusive now.

yea true. peoples been being hooked since the beginning of society and thats the only reason its still around, but the thing of people needing such heavy gratification from EVERYTHING all the time is much more now than its been before. peoples dopamine receptors are probably multiple times more trashed in 2021 than they were in 1920 just cus of advanced technology and research

ppl'll survive either way for sure tho
