Some of the more squalid corners of the internet have given birth to a particularly nasty false equivalence. In a better world, everyone would understand why "yikes" is the only acceptable response upon hearing it, but we're not there yet. So let's get to it. Incels are angry white men who believe that women, whom they fetishize and view as objects, owe them sex. They often complain (that is, threaten to murder and rape) about not getting any. They are, of course, not entitled to sex. But why then, it is asked, are trans women entitled to sex? What a double standard! Simply put, it's a matter of affirmative action. Trans women are given what they would - and should - have received in a non-transphobic society. The fact of the matter is that men do want to have sex with trans women, but society stops them. It's not unusual for trans women to face rejection despite the fact that the man admits that they're the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. In some cases, the man even claims to have a dickpic of their massive, feminine girlcock as his phone's lock screen background. But, if he meets up with them IRL and dates them, his ignorant parents, friends, and coworkers would give him hell. That's the only reason why trans women are rejected despite being uniformly awesome (it really is not you, it's me!), as admitted by men themselves, and we all know that no one in the dating world ever lies about anything or embellishes inconvenient truths. Obviously, the two cases can't be compared.
