Would you like to own exotic pets like snakes, spiders or lizards?

Most of us NEETs are very lonely so we long for some sort of companion. We often talk about dogs or cats as neet companions. I'm a little bit more of a cat guy myself but It doesn't really matter, like them both and would be really happy to own just one of them. I often go for a walk or jog so with a dog I wouldn't be so goddamn lonely all the time.:feelsbad:

But what about exotic pets like king cobras, big fat tarantulas, centipedes, rats, lizards, giant african bullfrogs? If you got the time and money to set up a terrarium and maintain everything on a regular basis, would you be interested in owning such pets? Do you know anyone that owns those kind of animals? Again it's not really something for me. Just interested on your thoughts on that.

Didnt you see @Billy's spider monkey baboosh. That bastard traded that lovable creature for a stupid cobra. Makes me angry to this day. Baboosh was adorable climbing trees with his little pants on:feelsbad:

I'd like to have a personal zoo of apes and monkeys but as a house pet cats are my favorite.

I would be interested in pet birds or something but maybe it is wrong to keep birds locked up in a cage. I am not sure if pets are a good cope because you have to deal with them dying so you are essentially paying for guaranteed misery at the end. When my brother's dog died 9 years ago he bought another straight after which in turn just repeats the cycle of doom as the dog is old now.

That's a good point. I think everyone has to answer that question for themselves. Do the years of pet companionship and all the good memories outweigh the pain resulting from the pet dying one day? I think lots of pet owners never even thought about those brutal things. They just got a pet and that's it.

I would love to own a cute prime teen JB (in Minecraft of course and JB stands for John Bear, what I would name my custom pet bear in his teens in Minecraft). 😍

it's not that bad ofc you're sad and everything but imo the ~15 years of having a nice pet more than makes up for it :feelscowboy: small pets are ideal coz they don't eat too much and can bark just as loud if niggers are coming :feelscowboy:

I have a Golden retriever and 2 cats. The most exotic pet I had was a ferret, they are actually fun to have.

I just looked it up. The hell @Billy what were you thinking? Trade your cobra asap and get that monkey back. Monkey > Cobra all day.

This is important: Keep in mind that exotic pets like snakes, spiders cant develop affection or emotions towards you. They are just killers acting 100% on instincts. A cobra doesnt give a shit about you and all that you do for it. Its a brutal killer that will attack you without any emotions, only pure instinct.

A monkey, cat or a dog on the other hand can become your best friends, your loyal companions who develop affection and real emotions for you.

Cats are invasive species that leave toxoplasmosis infused shit all over your gardens. They can carry feline aids too, never heard of canine aids personally probs cos cats are the choice of faggots.

It depends on how sensitive you are, as a soy like me I wouldn't even be able to look at photos of our dog once he dies. I haven't looked at photos or videos of the last dog who died although the pain did ease over the years of that dog dying, he died very young being hit by a car

And even when the pet is alive you are thinking about it dying, every lump you see on the dog and you assume it is cancer. Can you imagine what it would be like when parents die never mind a pet.

Are parrots considered exotic?
Initially I was trying to limit the discussion to exotic terrarium pets but this thread has changed to all kinds of "exotic" or unusual pets. So yeah I would say they are exotic idk...
