This forum is small (and why it's a good thing!)

This forum is small, and it's a blessing.

Both .co and .me have grown to be sites full of newbs and normies.

They have thousands of active users, who send thousands of messages every day.

This has made forming meaningful relationships difficult.

CASE STUDY:
  • In 2018 - Q2 of 2019 Looksmax.me was a tightly knit community (<1000 users)
    • Every member knew each other
  • In the Q4 of 2020 Looksmax.me is a forum with thousands of active users
    • People are strangers

Both .co & .me are, at least to new users, very similar to Reddit and 4chan.

What makes Reddit and 4chan similar is the fact that the people you see change every time you load a new page.

When people are thrown into a room with hundreds of people, they will all look more or less the same.

TL;DR: Forming relationships with other people becomes more difficult as a community grows.

Sounds legit. I am just worried that this site doesn't make the money back.

I'm fine with this forum as is, a less turbulent place.

It's going to take time, but we'll get there.

In the meantime, this forum will mog .me & .co in quality.
We have less users, and all of us are experienced.

No interlopers here.

However, you'd be hard pressed to find interest from users when they're spread across two other forums and the topic of NEETdom doesn't lend itself to explosive discussions or attract as many shitposters as inceldom.

Neets.me is barely advertised.

@Master removed the sticky from .me

I think the reason less users come here is because they think this forum is more on the vein of .co, so they'd be banned (which has already happened) if they were to post as aggressively as on .me, and, since they are already established and see no benefit from a forum with low activity, they don't post. On the other hand, it is probable that a lot of .co users who migrated to .me due to their bans grew accustomed to the forum and see no point in joining yet another forum to post simultaneously. Moreover, the userbase of .co is divided in sewer dwellers and established users who haven't been banned yet, so they don't feel the need to migrate to either forum.
