Why do people do this? Are you really bothered by a profile post notification which you get maybe once a week? If you don't like what people have to say, you always have the option to delete it. Based on this I can only conclude that the users who lock their profile are only doing so to prevent the pleasure of I would get from clicking on it, and reading through the posts.
