A researcher (Willam Costello, Twitter @costellowilliam) is doing a study on the psychology on incels. He sat with Naama on this episode.
A few surprising discoveries in my opinion were that the Average age of incels is around 29! The forums paint an inaccurate image of them being young men because almost half of incels in the study are not on the forums.
Also, incels have higher unemployment rate than non-incel men (18% vs 9%). These 18% identified as NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
And my favourite which I kind of suspected but the media continuously lies about this. Incels are not mainly "Alt-right". Politically, they are across the aisles.
