I’m prepared to live a simple life. I’m already saving up towards a humble future. I want to pay myself minimum wage.
Yet I realize a flaw in my philosophy. Like a saying goes “what is true today might not be true tomorrow” Right now I view excessive wealth and luxury as a waste and foolish. But what if in the future that excessive wealth might come in handy.
I could retire on a measly sum but I don’t know if in the future the world or myself could have changed and my entire mentality of simple life is best life falls apart.
So could that mean that maybe living excessively and accumulating massive amount of wealth is the only real logical choice. That way whatever the future has you will be mostly prepared. This being difficult.
You could maybe do both. Live a simple life while accumulating huge amounts of wealth. That wouldn’t make much to sense to me. Going through all that effort of getting money just not to spend it.
