Money making options for NEETs

Being a NEET is a matter of degree because survival always requires some form of labour. That being said, there are several means of acquiring money available to those insistent on not working any kind of job:

[UWSL]1. Scrounging from the government[/UWSL]
[UWSL]2. Scrounging from family[/UWSL]
[UWSL]3. Scrounging from charities[/UWSL]
4. Scrounging from the public

Anything outside of these four at least borders on being a job, hence terms like "professional gambler", "professional gamer" and "career criminal".

True I tried sports betting for a few years and can confirm it really is a job.
Even if you are not a "professional gambler" and bet casually you still need to do a lot of research.

I bet on sports every so often but I have done most of the legwork already in writing and I enjoy watching boxing and mma anyway. This is somewhat analogous to say, baking cakes for yourself and occasionally selling them to friends or family. It's closer to the NEET end of the spectrum imo but when relentlessly pursued, hobbies can easily become professions and in the process lose the freedom that originally characterised them.

Interesting. I've heard that some people make good amount of money by abusing the sign up bonuses etc. I don't know if that counts.

And there are people who trade bets on bet exchanges like Betfair and Matchbook.

The real problem with "professional" sports betting is that the exchanges and the casinos don't like players who have the talent and the patience to make profitable bets

Abusing sign up bonuses is called matched betting, it's potentially a reliable way to make some money but you won't make a huge amount and it's a hassle.

I don't bet on exchanges, sometimes you can get better odds but there's a commission. I also like having the option to cash out my bets 100% at any time.

You are right that you can get banned by the bookies if you are deemed to be too successful, at that point you may need to get others to bet on your behalf if you can. I believe Australia and possibly other countries do not allow bookies to ban bettors on these grounds.

If you are a NEET claiming benefits you also do not want the state deeming you to be too successful and either taxing you or cutting your benefits. Keeping most of your winnings in online betting accounts for longer periods or withdrawing it in cash from betting shops irl could be ways to counteract this.

An anon on Uboachan made a thread with a ton of options for how to earn money while at home. You may not technically fit into the NEET category if you're one that obsesses over labels, but if you're full hikikomori and need some money it's worth checking out.
Making T-shirts seems like a good idea. For a while I wanted to make XXL T-shirts with dogshit feminist slogans, like "I am the witch you couldn't burn," "I wish my vagina had the same rights as an AR-15," and so on and so forth. I still can't shake the feeling that I've been completely missing out on a good market.

Ring up old boomers and tell them that their pension is being cancelled but if they do an “investment“ into this totally legit scheme they will double their money within the year.
