If concubinage was brought back, men would have something to work for. In the modern world, get as rich as you'd like, you're never going to completely own a woman. You'll never feel secure. If you get married, your wife has just as much power as you do on the relationship, she can leave whenever she wants (and divorcerape you). If you don't get married, and hire escorts, you're essentially sharing a woman with hundreds of other men, and you're in the weaker, demanding position. Well, the arch nemesis of the Ottomans were the Russians. The Ottoman-Russian wars started in the 1500s, and lasted until the 1900s. The Russians won the majority of the conflicts. Also when the Ottomans won, the victories were never overwhelming, opposed to wars against other nations.

I mean it mostly came down to geography and technology. It was impossible for the Ottomans to invade the northern regions, so Russians always had the geographical advantage.
There was this one time, the Pruth war. The last war the Ottomans won against the Russians, in early 1700s. After this war, the Ottomans would keep losing over and over again, until the collapse of the empire.
The peace treaty was signed way too early, due to diplomatic failures. Some say the Ottoman Pashas were bought over with gold, some say that Catherine the first begged to the Ottoman pasha in his tent, some say the diplomats were just too retarded. Either way, the Ottomans lost a great chance to inflict serious damage to the Russian army. If they had done that, they might have won the following wars, or at least they would not have suffered as much damage as they did.
This war remains to be one of the most controversial wars of the Turkish history. If an actual war were to be fought at that time, the history of the entire world would have been altered greatly.
On the Japanese- Ottoman relationships, there was this one time, when an Ottoman ship had sunk near Japan. The Japanese helped the survivors, and took them back to Istanbul. Ever since then, Turk-Japanese relationships have been really good overall.

No man, you'd be the mastermind, planning the raids and the attacks.
The chads didn't even become pirates in the first place. They'd live in comfortable cities, with their harems of women.
You'd become a pirate, either because you loved adventure and raiding, or you had nothing to lose. It was a great way to earn great amounts of gold, if you didnt't mind the risk of dying.
