Inability to participate in normal society

is what leads many people to drop out from society. Contemporary society has high expectations of you, of how your day to day life should be structured, how you should behave, what you should believe, etc.. Many people (I would include myself in this category) are essentially not built to deal with what's expected of them. For example, I can't wake up at a regular time, I can't motivate myself do to something I've been ordered to do and which I don't have the least bit of interest in (most lines of work), I can't talk to people, I can't be around other people, et cetera. I'm sure there are many other things I could mention. The point is, there are demands, not everyone can meet them, and those who can't meet them are blamed and held responsible for their inability to do so.

And if not just an inability to participate, an inability to comprehend. The behavior of normal people is just bizzare to me, to the point where I find it difficult even to explain what about it I find bizzare. For example, imagine a group of people meeting over at a cafe, with all its details. People greet each other, they talk about some inane stuff none of them are particularly interested in, they sip their coffee, when there is a lull in the conversation people feel awkward, when one makes a joke the rest laugh exaggeratedly in response. This reminds me of animal behavior, like the social grooming and mating dances of birds. Of course, there is an evolutionary or causual explanation as to why this type of behavior exists, but I don't have an "intuitive" understanding of social behavior which seems almost universal among neurotypicals.

This scene from the manga "Bokurano" comes to mind whenever I think about this:

I know what are you talking about, left my last job because I couldn't interact with neurotypicals, it just feels so surreal to me, like I'm in a dream, couldn't handle it, but ill need to find another job sooner of later
I can't wake up at a regular time, I can't motivate myself do to something I've been ordered to do
This is just lack of discipline tho

I've been cut off from the outside world for years now and have no intention of joining it soon, though it's not like I could anyway. Even here online do I have trouble socialising
I've had similar thoughts to this before, I was never able to enjoy mainstream media due not being primal as the rest who don't think a single second about anything. I often think to myself if what the hero did was just and moral, subconsciously actually, even though it's a useless endeavor. I've developed extreme autism to where even if the hero steals $5 from someone, it would ruin my experience as he isn't really someone to look up to, I can put myself in the shoes of others and understand how they might feel. More often than not the gags ruin it for me, like "its so funny when a guy has his day ruined" "its so funny when someone looks ugly", I keep seeing those and they have never made me laugh. They are only things an underdeveloped fetus NPC could enjoy, my empathy has ruined my taste in a lot of things.

It could be lack of discipline, it could be differences in circadian rhythm, it could be someone having less of a propensity to follow orders. My point is, some people have these characteristics and some don't; if you don't have them, you can't function.

Are you me? Because this is literally how I feel about so many things these days.

I always prefer games where you're offered choices because of this also (TES games are the best because of this), otherwise I always start questioning the morality of the main character, doesn't happen with every game of course, but happens a lot regardless.

I think there is another reason to. There is just increasingly less and less reward for participating in society. 50+ years ago if you followed all the social rules, went to school, worked hard, and got a steady job then you could buy a house, betabuxx some foid near your looksmatch, and raise a family with her. Now, for a lot of men, none of that is even a possibility. Now if you do that you are lucky to rent a shitty apartment with some fat whore that has a >50% chance of divorce-raping you. So why would I bother to work? My motivation for doing so no longer exists.

Yes, exactly, without having a female by his side, a man doesn't see the point in life at all, his mental health entirely depends on cope and there is nothing else to do after that runs dry.

Bingo! In 2020 in the US at least. There is less and less reasons to care about the world around you. In the US non-college jobs are basically becoming slavery and don't even pay enough for sky-high housing. Not to mention college over the 25 years has become totally gynocentric. And also of course suicidefuel for guys who are sub5. Marriage has also become the stupidest thing in the world, since there are no benefits for a guy. Except getting divorce raped.

I always do a goody too shoes playthrough where I be as moral and good as possible, re loading saves if I hurt an NPCs' feelings or restarting missions in an attempt to keep as many of the NPC alive
