Venting Feels like 2017 was a year ago

and now it's 2022 soon, 5years later
2016 and 2017 are my most cherished years ever, everything went downhill for me right at the start of 2020. I miss those times, I think the reason why I remember everything from 2016-2017 so well and therefore get the feeling it wasn't nearly as long ago is simply cause I did and experienced much more fun and exciting stuff in that year, could literally talk hours about it, meanwhile I barely remember 2018-2020 as if they never happened. Basically feels like I've been on autopilot these past years and haven't really been happy like I used to.

Yea those were some good years for me too, I look back on them fondly.
Saying that I genuinely believe I'm going to have a good 2022.

2021 was a year of repair for me after spending like 3 years strung out on various illicit substances.
2018 was weed and psychs,
2019 was mainly opiates,
2020 was mainly ketamine with a few short stints on benzos.
I've spent this year getting over ahedonia caused by that as well as getting fitter and just re-evaluating what I want to spend my time doing.

2017- kush tramadol dxm get faded af year, until mid december, graduated HS that year and tried going to trade school
2018- beginning of downward spiral into neetdom, around jul 2018
2019- mental illness severe ocd phase, looked basically homeless and had no id, would literally just go to the library and use the computers all day because no phone for a good amount of the first half, second half started doing self improvement (got a security license,drivers license, would try to get security jobs but denied)
2020- mostly just neeting and being a lazy ass foo, started doing odd janitor jobs, got Medi-Cal
2021- neeting, basically same as 2020, finally got EBT
