No, my parents almost never gave me cash, if you exclude shit like money for bus tickets. Never really learned to use/spend money so once I started earning my own I turned into stingiest jew possible.

Not as much but around the same for me. Reaching 25 seemed to be the cut off. From there on my parents became more strict towards me and there was a more "tense" uncomfortable atmosphere in the house...hard to describe.

I am so glad my parents never asked me to pay any rent. Seeing how asking your kids to pay rent is quite common made me realize that they might feel really sorry about me.
