if i had to guess, i'd say most of us have had some kind of trauma or mental illness, or are misanthropic or were bullied or whatever. are there any neets who are motivated though? i mean like using your time productively to accomlish useful goals? not just browsing internet mindlessly, or porn, or vidya. if you're that guy, tell us what you do.

Its a constant up and down from sudden spikes of motivation to falling all the way down into an empty depressed state.
You could display this pattern with a very basic waveform diagram:feelskek:

I don't know if it's motivation but I'm regulary sending applications for an apprenticeship

Apprenticeship in what? I got an apprenticeship after I left school but it was a level 2 apprenticeship where at the end I'd have been "rewarded" with a minimum wage job and had to do homework every night after work. I started on a wage of 3.90/hr, finished at 5.50 an hour after just under a year of working there. Many places take on apprentices just for cheap labour since you don't have to pay them as much as regular employees, no point in doing it unless it's a skilled profession

In Germany it's called Ausbildung where you go to work one day and go to a school the other it's like dual education. It last mostly 2 to 3 years and after it's done the company you did it with might accept you or you get a diploma and go job hunting and as far as I know after you find something you can then go to study and learn the job further to achieve a Master so you can earn more

aha uhm no preference really i just send wherever beggars cant be choosers
Might as well just go for a regular job if it's not some sort of skilled profession. I was going to get a job last year but the woman at the job help place I went to tried pressuring me into doing an administration apprenticeship where once again I'd be doing work+homework so I just ignored all her emails from that point onwards. Not worth it unless you're rewarded with a higher salary (or useful skills such as if you're a plumber or mechanic)

Well they say it's better for the future to have an ausbildung than just doing a regular job without learning it I guess

If you are forced to work then my best advise would be to learn a trade. We recently had both an electrician and a plumber come to our house for some work. The actually make surprisingly big money. Much more than the regular code monkey, much more than the regular bank employee. Their salaries shit all over my job. There is also still a massive shortage for those types of jobs which creates those high salaries.

Everyone says to learn a trade but don't you need money to go to school in order to learn a trade?

I'm learning someting where the payoff is boundless. A trade is like trading your time for money. I don't like that. But it works for lots of people who aren't super lazy like me :feelspat:

Like it's possible to guesstimate how much money a plumber will make throughout his whole career. But if u a business owner or someting else like an artist that's no longer possible. Ya can make 0 bucks for ten years straight then suddenly make a milli or someting isn't that great :feelsthumb:
